Hello

We are so excited that you plan to join us for what promises to be an incredible holiday on the Costa Blanca.  We hope you can make it from Wednesday 1st June (late afternoon) to Sunday 5th June.  It's a 2 day bank holiday in the UK so minimal holiday is required!

The plan is as follows:
Wednesday 1st June 4:30pm: Welcome Drinks
Thursday 2nd June: Your own time
Friday 3rd June 4:00pm: The Wedding
Saturday 4th June 1:00pm: 'Debrief' Lunch and Drinks

We will be around from Sunday 29th May, and so if you want to make a week of it then of course you are more than welcome.  We will see you on the beach, in the bar or on the golf course in the days leading up to the event.  Let us know so we can include you in any extra plans.

Travel

The 2 nearest airports are Alicante and Valencia, both an hour drive from Javea.  Valencia tends to have slightly cheaper flights.   You can fly from most UK airports and on most budget airlines.  The wedding is during half term and the June UK bank holidays and so  we thoroughly recommend you book flights early to keep costs down!  
The easiest option from the airport is to hire a car and then drive for an hour.  There is a bus (90 mins) from Valencia but no direct train.  Alternatively there are various airport taxi companies.  We can help facilitate car/taxi sharing with other guests on your flight.

Car Train Taxi Additional Information
Javea is an hour drive from either Alicante or Valencia airport.  Car hire is available at either airport and this would be our recommended form of travel.  It's likely other wedding guests will be on your flight, and so we can help facilitate car sharing.  Let us know if you want us to look into it for you!
There is no direct train from Alicante or Valencia to Javea.  There is a train from Valencia to Gandia which is then 40 mins to Javea in a taxi.
A taxi from Alicante or Valencia airport to Javea is roughly €200 return.  We can help facilitate taxi sharing so please let us know.

About Hayley and Tom
Tom and Hayley met in 2013, when Hayley joined Tom's work, he as her boss.  As an ambitious employee, Hayley listened, responded and accepted feedback but sadly, this is now a very distant memory for Tom. 
When Hayley left the business a few years later the two remained friends.  It was only in a muddy field at Glastonbury in 2017 that the two realised their friendship might be something more special, apparently a fact already realised by some of their close friends. 
After 3 happy years together full of amazing holidays,  another trip to Glastonbury and some lock downs, they took a trip to Turkey where Tom nervously got down on one knee in a beach cabana and Hayley said yes!  
They can't wait to celebrate with their nearest and dearest in one of their favourite places in the world!

Welcome Drinks

Let's get the party started!  Welcome drinks will take place at Beach House Javea on Wednesday 1st June.  Beach House is a rooftop boho style bar and the ideal setting for everyone to get to know each other!   We will be there from 4:30pm and will be covering the first 3 hours of drinks and nibbles.

Dress Code: Casual. This is a fairly relaxed rooftop bar so wear whatever you feel comfortable in!

Wedding Ceremony

When

Where

'Magical Gardens' , Javea, Spain

The main event! Our wedding will be taking place at the 'Magical Gardens' near Javea.
The ceremony will start at 4pm and we'll be organising transport from Javea at 3pm for those that would like it on the day.  For those that wish to make their own way, you're welcome to arrive from 3.30pm but please let us know.

The party will finish at 1am and transport will take you back to the pick up point in Javea.  Our wedding planner will be able to book a taxi if you need to leave any earlier.

We can't wait to eat, drink and dance with you!

Dress Code: Smart Casual
Men = Trousers and shirt, jacket and tie optional (no shorts!)
Female = Cocktail dresses / jumpsuits (no shorts!)

The Debrief

4th June 2022, 13:00 - 22:00

Where

Palmito Beach Bar, Javea, Spain

Hair of the dog!   At 1pm we will be heading to La Siesta beach bar in Javea.  La Siesta has great food and great views and is the perfect place to debrief and laugh about the night before.  For some, a chance to reclaim your dignity.

Dress Code: Beachwear.
There may be some beach games going on and you may wish to cool off in the sea, so would recommend having swimming attire

Hotel Recommendations

There are lots of villas/apartments in Javea near the beach/shops/bars but if you want a hotel you have 2 options:

Marriott
The Marriott is a lovely 5* hotel on the golf course and where a number of guests have already booked.  It's the nicest of the hotel options but will require you to get a 12 minute taxi to 'welcome drinks', 'debrief lunch' and any time you wish to go to the beach or bars in Javea.  The bus will pick guests up from here on the day of the wedding.  If you want to play golf on the Tuesday then it will be here.

Hotel sol de Javea
This is a modern 4* hotel.  The benefits being it's next to the beach and you can book a sea view room, and it's a short walk to the all of the bars, including the 'welcome drinks' and 'debrief lunch'.  The swimming pool area is quite small and generally the hotel isn't as nice as the Marriott but for convenience it's perfect.

The best beach in walking distance, is the Arenal which is a sand beach, at the far end to where we will be hosting welcome drinks, and the debrief.

Gifts

We really appreciate the effort (and expense!) you will have made to come and join us for our wedding celebrations in Spain. Therefore, wedding gifts are not necessary!
